EduBirdie is one of the most well-known writing services on the internet. However, if we realized anything about the writing industry while reviewing different essay services, it’s that popularity does not always mean the company is reliable and can be trusted with complex orders.
At first glance, EduBirdie looks like a perfectly trustworthy writing service. Their website is pretty informative and contains nearly anything you would ever want to know about a writing company. There is even a live chat feature, where you can get help at any stage of the ordering process.
There is also a carousel of writer profiles with their name and order statistics, and this is where we first felt suspicious. These profiles looked far from real and we highly doubt the people in the photos are the ones who will do your task. Still, we were determined to find the definitive answer to the question “Is EduBirdie legit?” with our own EduBirdie review.
EduBirdie is one of the many writing services who function on a bidding system, which we are not too crazy about. With this system, you can only find out how much your order is going to cost when you upload its details into the system and the writers start making their bids. In theory, this system can help you choose the lowest price available, but we have seen more than one EduBirdie Reddit claiming that the writers here will not even consider taking your order for less than $18 per page.
If you are prepared to pay 10% extra for your order, your assignment details will only be displayed to the top 50% writers of the service with a Bachelor’s degree or higher.
For an extra 20% to the order price, you can have your order description displayed only to the top 20% of the writers with a Master’s degree or higher.
If you don’t feel confident enough to choose the writer for your order, you can let the EduBirdie customer support manager pick the best available writer for +$9.99.
If you have written the work yourself but now want to give it a more polished, professional look, you can hire one of the EduBirdie editors to do a professional editing job on your paper.
In order to fairly judge the quality of service provided by the company, we decided to place a test order on the EduBirdie website. We deliberately chose a very easy assignment — a 3-page college essay on Social Studies with a 10-day deadline. We provided plenty of details with the order, and the 10-day deadline seemed very generous. However, we only got two bids for our order, and even they appeared after we have waited for more than three hours.
We received the finished paper just before the deadline, and although the paper was nicely formatted, it was nowhere near the college level like we requested. We would estimate this paper could have landed a decent grade in high school, but its vocabulary, sentence structure, and use of specific notions from the subject did not match our expectations. The writer complied with our revision request, and the second draft of the paper was somewhat more tolerable.
After a deeper look, we found out that EduBirdie offers a number of guarantees, although none of them are prominently displayed on the website. There are guarantees concerning your privacy: for example, that full confidentiality is guaranteed for all of your orders.
There is also a free revision and a money back guarantee, but it turns out that you need to complete a lot of requirements to qualify for a refund. And even if you are granted a refund, the company may still deduct the writer’s fee and only give you a partial refund.
Edu Birdie is working hard to let everyone know they are a completely legit writing service. They have even gone as far as paying famous YouTube and Instagram bloggers to promote their company, and this may be where you know EduBirdie from. Plus, they are so concerned about their reputation that they even have an EduBirdie review on their own website, which definitely surprised us. Obviously, the testimonials on the website are also very positive.
When we went to other sources for independent EduBirdie reviews, the picture we saw was very different. While there were some occasional positive reviews, which were possibly written by people working for EduBirdie, the majority of testimonials were less positive. Customers reported inflated prices, difficulties with placing the order, and inability to get a refund as the main problems with the website. Many customers also complained about the order quality — like us, they did not feel the quality of writing at EduBirdie matched their prices and self-described excellence.
Modern and informative website design.
Availability of live chat customer support.
Bidding system often means higher prices.
Your order may get little to no bids.
The writer profiles and testimonials are seemingly fake.
Getting a refund is not that easy.
If you came to this review to find out the answer to the question “Is EduBirdie legal?”, we must say that it mostly looks like a legal website, although there are many problems with the way they work. So is EduBirdie cheating? It’s a complex ethical question, but ultimately, if you present a work written by another person as your own, it can be classified as cheating. Whatever your views on this issue are, we do not recommend ordering from EduBirdie.Check out top services
